Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is one of the oldest departments in the College with nearly 15 faculty members and 250 students. The department’s graduate programs continue to draw from a very strong application pool. The department was established in the year 2002 and since its inception the department has evolved from offering only undergraduate courses to offer post graduate programs in Embedded Systems which is the key area of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Our distinguished faculty, students and committed staff all contribute to make our Institute a fulcrum of success and great pride. Well planned laboratories built around a modular concept that simulates a near industry setting, provides the students with an inspiring environment. The well-stocked department library has a vast collection of books, journals, magazines, CD’s and handbooks on ECE related subjects. To keep the students updated with the latest technological development across the globe, Internet access is available to the students 24 hours a day. Besides providing an excellent learning environment, students are also encouraged towards innovation for both the development and application of the engineering skills.
A proof for the outcome of this is the numerous project awards and project grants won by the students over the past decade. Every year, students actively participate in all project competition and bring home all the top prizes. With highly motivating staff on board, getting prizes in such competitions is just a routine exercise for us.
The big infrastructure of the college with adequate facilities is an added strength to the college. It provides excellent hostel facilities for both boys and girls in separate campuses. Indeed, Sahrdaya strives very hard to ensure that the students are among the best placed professionals in the industry, practicing the best of human values and contributing to the process of creating a vibrant and stronger India through engineering knowledge. Industrial Training is an integral part of the curriculum. In keeping with the spirit of the curriculum, the department stresses on nurturing the talent of students for top industries across the globe.
