The Department of Biotechnology organized a workshop on Biotechnological methods on 10th and 13th November 2023. It was aimed to provide hands on training and a comprehensive understanding of Molecular Biology techniques, Chromatography and Bioinformatics. This workshop was organized for school students studying in 9th, 10th and 11th standards. A total of 93 students from Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan's Vidya Mandir and Little Flower Convent High school, Irinjalakuda had attended the same on 10 and 13 November 2023 respectively. Dr. Dhanya Gangadharan, HoD BTE and Dr. Amitha Joy, Associate Professor had given an introduction on the topics while the students of fifth semester and seventh semester were involved in giving hands on training in Agarose gel electrophoresis, Gel filtration chromatography and bioinformatics tools like GenBank and Discovery Studio Visualizer.
