The Department of Biotechnology at Sahrdaya College of Engineering & Technology is organizing a two-day workshop on Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Data Analysis on 25th and 26th March 2026 at the MB Computer Centre. The session will be led by Mr. Ravisankar V, Senior Information Officer at Kerala Agricultural University, who brings extensive expertise in bioinformatics and data analysis. This workshop is designed to provide participants with hands-on experience and practical insights into NGS data processing, analysis pipelines, and interpretation of genomic data. Aimed at S6 Biotechnology students, the event will enhance their understanding of modern sequencing technologies and equip them with essential computational skills relevant to research and industry.
The Data Pulse – Data Science Club of Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology is being inaugurated to create a vibrant platform for students to explore the rapidly evolving field of data science and artificial intelligence. The club aims to foster innovation, analytical thinking, and practical learning through workshops, expert talks, competitions, and collaborative projects. The inauguration ceremony will feature an invited talk by Prof. Dr. Sabu M K, Professor, Department of Computer Applications, Cochin University of Science and Technology, on the topic “Retrieval Augmented Generation: Enhancing LLMs with External Data.” The session will provide valuable insights into emerging AI technologies and their real-world applications.

"The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in association with the project team SCET VAIDYUTH, is conducting a workshop titled VOLT X from 4th February to 27th February 2026 for S2 students. The workshop aims to provide basic-level technical training related to the development of a solar-powered autonomous electric vehicle. The training will include an introduction to the software tools used in the project, namely MATLAB and TinkerCAD, along with fundamental electrical concepts such as wiring practices, electrical components, types of motors, and their specifications. Students will also be introduced to the mechanical works and integrations involved in the project, giving them an overall understanding of how electrical, software, and mechanical systems are combined in a real-time application. A Second semester B.Tech student team comprising Mr.Anugrah K. S. (First Year B.Tech CSE-B),Ms.Dhiya Binoy (First Year B.Tech BT), and Ms. Niveditha V. S.
