Our Mission

The mission of the Department consists of three interrelated components: providing the highest quality instruction to our undergraduate and graduate students, conducting leading-edge research in computer science and engineering, and providing leadership and service to our professional communities' .We are committed to excel in all three components of this mission With nearly 200 members, the ACES (Association of Computer Engineering Students) of Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology, the most intense association of Computer professionals, inaugurated in 2004, is the most dedicated association in boosting the technical expertise, the dexterity and the improvement of its member's proficiency. Our vision is to be the leading association in providing services regarding technical information and services to its members.

The Association conducts inter group & intra group seminars applications-related and research-oriented talks, seminars, symposiums, industry institution interaction programs, various technical events, cultural programmes etc. Technical events

LAUNCH OF SAHRDAYA ALUMNI WEBSITE

ACES took up the challenge of designing and development of the SAHRDAYA ALUMNI WEBSITE.

IMPLEMENTATION OF PROJECT DRDA

Members of the ACES took up the challenge of developing a ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE for DRDA, Kanyakumari .

LAUNCH OF E-FINGER AUTOMATION

A Biometric Application for marking attendance for our College Faculties and staffs ü SOCIAL SERVICE WORK: by planting trees at Kodaly Forest area.

  9. Mr.Vinod V, Senior Remote Server Manager, Vanilla networks, an Australian based company at
    infopark,Cochin gave a lecture on “Linux Server Technologies” on 23 rd February 2008.
  10. Mr.Jagatheesh Chandran, alumini of SCET working in USTechnology,the recipient of best
    performance award in 2007, addressed the CS students on 25 th January 2008, shared his
    experience and delivered a talk on “IT industry work culture”.
  11. "TRENDS IN CYBER CRIME & SECURITY" - by Mr. Bhadran V. K., Additional Director of C-DAC, Trivandrum on December 12th, 2008 in Multi Purpose Auditorium.
  12. Cyber Prism conducted a seminar on “J2EE Oriented distributed Computation” on the 3 rd November, 2007

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

  1. Students of 8th CS visited a mentally retarded center for children on 21st December 2011 in Koodappuzha
  2. Students of 8th Semester CS visited St Christina Orphanage, Pulazhi on 23rd December 2010
  3. Students of 8th semester CS visited St. Xavier’s Orphanage, Kodakara on December 31st 2009
  4. 8 th semester CS students visited remote areas near Athirappilly on 19 th January 2008.They gave awareness classes about banking and computers, and donated writing materials to the students of the village.
